How To Trim Slice and Edit Your YouTube Videos – You can edit, trim, and slice YouTube videos on your channel without losing the video views, here’s how! What if I were to tell you that YouTube has a feature that you're able to edit, you're able to splice, you're able to cut that video without losing those video views? Well, stay tuned! What we want to do is select a video, so I found this video right here, this is a new segment I have on my channel, it's really cool! You notice that it's thirty six minutes and 6 seconds. I want to be able to trim that down, because this was actually a live video that I had and I want to be able to trim the beginning and the end. And I'm also going to show you how to split that out. So to do this we're going to click on this down arrow and come down to enhancements. And this is a great tool, it's one that I'm going to give you in future training. There's this little button for Trim, and that's what we want to click. This is basically going to load your video and I want to show you, it gives you two blue bars. One right here, one right there. And these basically will trim and you can see that it has a time code on here right now it's 33 seconds and so on is where it starts and then also right here at the very end. So the first thing I'm going to show you is how to actually trim and save this as a new video. So to do that I'm going to mouse all the way over to the left-hand side and i'm going to drag this where I want to create a new video and I'm going to go right to 24 minutes, 33 seconds or so. and you notice that there's an arrow right here, an arrow right there we can actually move this and it will move it forward. So I can go and hit done and what that's going to do is show me the video that I'm clipping out and I can click Save as a new video. Once that goes there this, for some reason it always goes public, I want to quickly edit and make that private and we're going to go ahead and hit save so it doesn't notify my subscribers I have a new video, come back to the video manager. I'm going to go back to the video that we're editing, come and click down to video enhancements, ok? Let's go ahead and trim it down again. Now the great thing about it is you can literally add little segments, so if I wanted to split something out I could go ahead and move this all the way up. There's a new little button here, it's called split, and you can actually edit, so I'm going to go ahead and edit, a part that I'm going to cut out right within the video. And you can either save this as a new video or save it as that, let me show you how that does. It brings up a blue section here, this is going to be your final video. Wherever the blue is where your final video is going to be. So let's go ahead and hit play, come back here. Hit done, and once you're done we'll go ahead and hit save. Once you hit save this is going to process for a little while and you'll see a different version of your video. But it's not going to change the URL and let's go ahead and hit Save and you can see as you save that it's just basically going to edit this one. It says editing in process and it will edit down, and you can revert back to the original.
