Today our country set two records that should scare the hell out of everyone; first, the country just topped $17 trillion in debt for the first time in our nation’s history. Second, after congress reopened the government and passed the new budget, this country set an all-time record for a single day rise in debt. Yesterday, in one single day, our government added over $328 billion in debt , smashing the previous high of $238 billion set two years ago. In the last 5 years, this administration (as well as people on both sides of the political aisle) raised the nation’s debt by almost 60 percent, and is on course to double it by the end of their term. When President Obama took office in 2009, the debt was at 10.6 Trillion dollars. According to the Treasury Department that figure is now $17.075 trillion. LOS ANGELES (AP) — A rare whale that has a dolphin-shaped head and saber-like teeth has been found dead on Los Angeles' Venice Beach, even though it prefers frigid subarctic waters. The roughly 15-foot-long female Stejneger's beaked whale washed ashore Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Times reported . A truck hauled away the mammal, which was being examined at the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum to determine how it died. The Stejneger's beaked whale is rarely seen in the wild. The species typically dives deep in subarctic waters to feed on squid and small fish. It is believed to migrate as far south as Northern California , and how the whale ended up so far south will probably remain a mystery. "This is the best," said Nick Fash, an education specialist for the Santa Monica-based environmental group Heal the Bay. "(Previous finds) aren't anything like this. Company to pursue action against HHS for using copyrighted web script. Healthcare.gov, the federal government's Obamacare website, has been under heavy criticism from friend and foe alike during its first two weeks of open enrollment.  Repeated errors and delays have prevented many users from even establishing an account, and outside web designers have roundly panned the structure and coding of the site as amateurish and sloppy.  The latest indication of the haphazard way in which Healthcare.gov was developed is the uncredited use of a copyrighted web script for a data function used by the site, a violation of the  licensing agreement for the software.
