The sources expressed concern that the non-conventional weaponry, which included mustard gas and sarin gas, could find its way into the hands of Islamic State fighters. The report added that militias had apparently already conducted an experiment with the captured weapons. Ukraine War 2015 - Novorossian Rebels Fighting Ukrainian Army During Heavy Clashes In Debaltseve. After heavy fighting Novorossian rebels captured the strategic town of Debaltselve from Ukrainian troops this week. Ukrainian troops retreated from the town after another broken ceasefire agreement and left the city to rebel troops who where fighting with the army in the area for months. This is the second time the town was caputed by Novorossian rebels after they had it under control before in 2014 but where thrown back by the ukrainian army later. It is most likely that the battle for Debaltseve will go on in the future as the Ukrainian troops eventually will start a counter attack to regain the lost town again.
