Title: Press conference with US Navy Quartermasters (retired) Maurice Enis and Jaime Plym Event: The Medical and Ecological Consequences of the Fukushima Nuclear Accident Date: March 11, 2013 at 1:00p ET US Navy Quartermasters (retired) Maurice Enis and Jaime Plym who both suffered radiation exposure and subsequent health damage while serving on the USS Ronald Reagan during a Fukushima aid and rescue mission. At ~9:00 in US Navy Quartermaster (retired) Maurice Enis, USS Ronald Reagan: I go in and they had to remove three layers of skin off my hands and arms. It wasn't like back to back. They would scrub off one layer then I would have to wash it off, this orange grit stuff that you use to get off paint and oil. Then they would do it over and over again and check. And we'd start the process all over, so in my head I was just praying that the machine would stop beeping so I can get it over with. Nobody told me at the time what was going on, everybody just told me just to stand and be quiet, not touch anybody or anything. It was almost as if I had the plague. Finally the machine stopped beeping and they let me go. ~~~~ How to Fight the Fukushima Cover-Up by NRC et al.
