Blood Moon Returns, And It's Bigger
Look, up in the sky, it's the Blood moon, and it will appear to be even bigger than last time. People in the western half of the United States will see a lunar eclipse that will turn the moon a burnt reddish orange for about an hour next Wednesday, creating the second blood moon since April 15th. NASA says the full eclipse will start at 3:25 a-m Pacific time, and last until 4:24 a-m. The effect comes from the edges of the sun's rays peeking out around the Earth's atmosphere and shining on the moon, which has to be in just the right position to catch those rays. If you miss this one, NASA says yet another one is coming next April. http://bit.ly/ZBUHv0 http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ
