Ce matin à 11h40 une chaîne d'événements spectaculaires ont débutés dans le stationnement d'un édifice de la défense militaire au 320 Boul du Séminaire Nord à St-Jean-sur-Richelieu et se sont terminés avec la mort d'un suspect de délit de fuite et d'un militaire. Peu avant midi un homme en auto a foncé sur 2 militaires et les a happé violement avant de prendre la fuite en direction sud sur le Boul du Séminaire. Des autos de la police de St-Jean-sur-Richelieu ont entreprit une poursuite et ont déployés des bandes cloutées sur les voies sud du Boul du Séminaire à la hauteur de la rue Schubert. Le suspect de délit de fuite a tenté d'éviter l'obstacle mais a dérappé et fait des tonneaux avant de se retrouver à l'envers dans un fossé. Il est sorti du véhicule accidenté avec un couteau à la main et les policiers, après plusieurs tentatives ont échoués aux négociations et ont fait feu sur l'homme. Il a été soigné sur scène avant d'être transporté à l'hopital ou sa mort a été constatée. Les deux militaires victimes du délit de fuite initial sont blessés et à l'hopital dont un dans un état critique et l'investigation est toujours en cours. 21h00 10-20-2014: Selon une page facebook le suspect décédé Martin Couture Rouleau démontrait vraisemblablement un fanatisme religieux et se serait récemment converti à l'Islam. Pendant la poursuite policière entre les deux incidents le suspect aurait appellé à la centrale 911 pour déclarer avoir agit ''au nom d'Allah''. Le suspect qui s'était radicalisé était connu des investigateurs de la Gendarmerie Royale du Canada GRC et s'était fait retiré son passeport afin qu'il ne puisse aller rejoindre des groupes terroristes. 9h00 am 10-21-2014: Nouvelle de dernière heure un des militaire happé est décédé. Selon la GRC l'homme était un parmi 90 jihadistes radicalisé sous haute surveillance de leur agents. This morning at 11h40 a spectacular chain of events led to the death of one hit & run suspect and the death of one military personnel. Just before noon a man in his car drove onto two military personnels violently in the parking lot of a national defence building at 320 Boul du Seminaire Nord in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. He then fled south on Boul du Seminaire and was chased by police who deployed a spike strip on the southbound lanes at the corner of Schubert Street. The driver attempted to avoid the strip but rolled over and crash in a ditch. He then came out of his upside down car with a knife in the hands and police officers opened fire and shot him. He was helped by paramedics on scene and was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Both hit & run pedestrian victims are in hospital one of which is in critical condition and the investigation is ongoing. 9h pm 10-20-2014: According to a Facebook page the deceased suspect Martin Couture Rouleau was recently converted into Islam and would have done the act in the name of Allah. During the police pursuit between the two incidents the man allegedly called 911 to declare he had done it ''in the name of Allah''. The man who became radicalised was know by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police RCMP and saw his passport being confiscated in the past months so he woud not flee and join terrorist groups. 9h00 am 10-21-2014: Update: one of the military personnel ran over has died over night. According to RCMP the man was one of 90 radicalised jihadist being monitored by their agents. In the last few weeks the islamic state encouraged their followers to commit crimes around the world especially targeting soldiers and military personnel. 1h00 pm 10-21-2014: Update: Steven Blaney of the Dep of Public Safety declares the incident is apparent to a a terrorist attack.
