'Weekend Of Resistance' Planned In Ferguson

Supporters of slain black teenager Michael Brown will begin a weekend of marches and civil disobedience on Friday in Ferguson, Missouri, where demonstrators will kick off protests by demanding the local prosecutor's resignation, organizers said. The "Weekend of Resistance" marches will come just two days after another black teenager was fatally shot by a white police officer, who was off duty at the time, in St. Louis, just 12 miles from where Brown was also killed last month by a white, on-duty Ferguson police officer. In Wednesday's shooting, however, the black teenager was armed, whereas Brown was unarmed, authorities said. As in the Brown slaying, Wednesday's police shooting also prompted angry protests. http://bit.ly/1uQKx5r http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ
