Russia, China Ink Framework Agreement on Second Major Gas Supply Deal
Russia and China have signed a framework agreement for a gas supply deal via the so-called western route, just months after the two states sealed a $400 billion deal for Moscow to deliver 38 billion cubic meters of gas to China annually. The Russian government said in a statement, the memorandum of understanding was signed between Russian gas company Gazprom and state-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). Under the terms of the framework agreement, CNPC will also buy a 10 percent stake in Russia's Vankorneft, which is a subsidiary of Russia's biggest oil producer Rosneft. http://bit.ly/1udbZKA http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ
