He gave a detailed speech about how his consulting firm employs such dirty tactics, about how he believes those tactics to be necessary, and about how others should do so as well. He thought he was speaking to a room full of people who agree with him, but one exec was offended enough to secretly record the speech and give it to the New York Times to publish.
