Russian Ruble has lost almost 50% of its value since start of 2014

The currency weakened to nearly 67 rubles against the dollar after bouncing briefly to 61 rubles earlier Tuesday. On Monday, it dramatically lost over 10 percent of its value, which was its largest one-day fall since the 19-98 crisis. The Russian currency also continued to fall against the euro. Meanwhile, the Central Bank raised its key rate from ten-point-five to 17 percent. The ruble has lost almost 50 percent against the US dollar this year.
