Torture Fallout: CIA Director Responds to Damning Report

CIA Director John Brennan will face reporters Thursday in a rare press conference, the first time he has spoken publicly since a Senate report took the spy agency to task for the brutality and mismanagement of its interrogation program in the years after Sept. 11. In a long-awaited report issued Tuesday, the Senate Intelligence Committee said that the interrogation program was far harsher than the CIA had suggested, including the use of waterboarding, sleep deprivation, humiliation and physical brutality. It also said that the program was ineffective, and that CIA officials had misled Congress, the White House and the public for years about details of the program. http://nbcnews.to/16bDsns http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ
