They consider it a transaction, and now they’re demanding millions of dollars in back taxes from over a hundred dispensaries in Washington State. But defense attorneys are warning their clients, DON’T pay the bill. Dispensaries aren’t technically licensed to SELL marijuana, but TAX agencies still want to collect a sales TAX from them. Now, the Department of Revenue is starting to squeeze out any of these “collective gardens” unless they give in to their demands. One thing is clear.
