2/25/2015 -- Eruption in Japan -- Sakurajima volcano covered in fresh lava

February 24, 2015 ... Yet another large blast of lava from Sakurajima Volcano in South Japan. This latest blast occurred just hours before a 6.2M earthquake struck due South of the location. More on the 6.2 magnitude earthquake here: http://bit.ly/1wejS0k _____ Major Pacific seismic movement is underway.. as evidenced by the other volcanic eruptions occurring around the Pacific... such as Colima + Popo volcanoes in Mexico giving off multiple blasts, and Fuego volcano in Guatemala showing serious movement. See the previous blast from February 12th, and 7th here: http://bit.ly/1DUrNWR http://bit.ly/1wejUoQ The previous large eruption began with a multiple day steaming event, immediately followed by a large blast of lava on January 25th 2015 (seen here: http://bit.ly/1JGhLbA ). This ongoing active eruption began in earnest after the blast(s), producing an over 3 hour eruption on January 28th 2015 (seen the timelapse of the previous large eruption here: http://bit.ly/1Ktugtx The previous eruptions ash cloud extended multiple kilometers in the atmosphere, and also spread multiple KM down wind from the eruption location. The previous eruption ash cloud actually reached the West Coast of the United States, hitting Oregon and Washington state with a thin layer of ash mixed with the rain. The ash laden rainfall on the West coast made national news.. http://cnn.it/1KtugJK EVERYONE still guessing where the ash came from.. now they're saying Shivulech Volcano in Russia... See the eruption (and record it) live here: 地震火山噴火溶岩日本 (as seen on http://bit.ly/1z1LFr0 ) Sakurajima volcano has been active in the past (2011 especially), and has since calmed down over the past year, now picking back up pace with multiple eruptions occurring recently. #japan #volcano #eruption #lava
