4th Amendment Protection Act Filed in Oklahoma





OKLAHOMA CITY—Oklahoma state Sen. Nathan Dahm has filed a bill that would prohibit state cooperation with the National Security Agency and limit some of the practical effects of the NSA's vast data collection program. The bill is similar to a state measure filed in California. Based on model legislation drafted by the OffNow coalition, Oklahoma's Fourth Amendment Protection Act makes it the policy of the state of Oklahoma to "refuse material support, participation or assistance to any federal agency which claims the power" to arbitrarily snoop on Oklahoma citizens.
