Immigration reform 2014 - Illegal immigrants destroying the American way of life

(Reuters) - Republicans will be unlikely to compromise on immigration reform unless U.S. borders are first secured, and the possibility of a broad immigration bill reaching President Barack Obama's desk this year is "clearly in doubt," Representative Paul Ryan said on Sunday. "Security first, no amnesty, then we might be able to get somewhere," Ryan said on ABC's "This Week." Immigration reform legislation, which the Senate has already passed, has stalled in the Republican-controlled House. Ryan's comments follow a House document released last week that presents a path toward legal status for 11 million undocumented workers now in the United States. The plan, rolled out by House Republican leaders, outlines "principles" for immigration reform and embraces an agenda that gives their candidates a campaign message that goes beyond political attacks on Obama. Asked if Obama would get a bill to sign this year, Ryan replied: "I really...

The Truth Behind Those $1 Detroit Homes

Downtown Detroit is seeing a revitalization of sorts sparked by Dan Gilbert's $1 billion investment in the area. Since 2010, Gilbert's investment has created an estimated 6,500 jobs in downtown, and, as a result, it's nearly impossible to find a vacant apartment as residential occupancy rates reached as high as 99.4% for the downtown area. But what about the rest of the city? You can buy a bunch of homes outside of downtown Detroit for under $500 and some are even listed at just $1. Problem is: these prices are incredibly misleading. The homes are in abysmal condition and there are few city services in and around these neighborhoods. Detroit realtor John Lewis took us to the Brightmoor neighborhood to show us what these $1 Detroit homes are really like. ------------------------- Produced by William Wei ------------------------- Music: "Space Coast" by Topher Mohr & Alex Elena via The YouTube Audio Library ------------------------- Read more: http://read.bi/1o...

AMERICANS WON'T WAKE UP UNTIL THE DOLLAR COLLAPSES -- Dave Kranzler

Dave Kranzler is a rabble-rouser and a truth teller. But f you follow his work here at SGT Report and on his site Investment Research Dynamics, you already know that. The collapse is in progress — as Jim Willie says, it started in 2008 — but the sad reality for most Americans is that they won't wake up until it's too late. Dave says, "The majority of people won't pick up their pitchforks until something really bad and painful happens. It might actually not happen until the Dollar collapses and people see that our country is essentially a third world country masquerading behind debt, printed money and FRAUD." Don't miss this one.
