The US government has published a tender, saying it’s hiring services for the movement of equipment and approximately 300 US personnel in Ukraine, according to the Federal Business Opportunities website. “The contractor shall provide all equipment, vehicles, and personnel necessary to provide ground transportation in accordance with the ordering clause,” the tender states. Former rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight told a judge that he is suffering from blindness and other health complications moments before he was taken to a hospital Monday morning. Knight told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James Brandlin that he had fired attorneys handling his murder case and was receiving inadequate medical treatment while in custody. The Death Row Records co-founder said he was blind in one eye and had only about 15 percent vision in his other eye during a brief court appearance on Monday. Knight said he was having difficulty comprehending the proceedings and told the judge he had been shot six times last year and had a blood clot in his lungs and other complications. A homeless man was shot dead by police in Los Angeles on Sunday following a dramatic confrontation that was caught on video. Footage of the incident, published on Facebook by one of the witnesses, shows a group of LAPD officers scuffling with two people. Another case of police brutality in the United States. This time a homeless black man has been fatally shot by police officers in Los Angeles. The shocking incident caught on video and posted online shows an intense argument between a man and several officers in LA's Skid Row area. The circumstances around the shooting were not immediately clear. However, local media reports suggest that at least one officer opened fire on the man who was declared dead at a hospital. The Los Angeles Police Department hasn't commented on the incident. Skid Row area houses many hostels and services for homeless people. Police brutality, especially racial profiling, has been a matter of concern across the US in recent years. Russian writer Elena Lenina is in hot water with animal rights activists after a kitten she dyed pink for a party died from toxic blood poisoning. Elena went to an ‘all pink’ party in September, and stole the show with her adorable kitten she’d dyed bright pink. The cat remained extremely adorable, until it licked the toxic dye off its fur, ingested the poisonous pink and a couple months later, keeled over and died from blood poisoning. Russian animal rights activists were furious, but Elena said she got a vet’s OK. Elena told the media the pink dye was especially chosen for it’s “healing” properties and that her witch doctor/vet said the pink dye would “strengthen the cat’s fur.” She says the vet told her the dye would be “beneficial” to the little animal.
