It's one of the high-tech approaches the U.S. government is piloting to stop the spread of Ebola. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is tracking the approximate locations of cell phone users in West Africa who dial emergency call centers in an effort to predict the onset and spread of Ebola outbreaks. Supporters of slain black teenager Michael Brown will begin a weekend of marches and civil disobedience on Friday in Ferguson, Missouri, where demonstrators will kick off protests by demanding the local prosecutor's resignation, organizers said. The "Weekend of Resistance" marches will come just two days after another black teenager was fatally shot by a white police officer, who was off duty at the time, in St. Louis, just 12 miles from where Brown was also killed last month by a white, on-duty Ferguson police officer. In Wednesday's shooting, however, the black teenager was armed, whereas Brown was unarmed, authorities said. The video showed police Officer Charles Vill being shot five times as he approached a vehicle he stopped last February.James Phillips, who had served two prison terms for possession of methamphetamine before the shooting, is on trial for shooting Officer Vill. Mexican authorities said Thursday the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes, the leader of the deadly Juarez drug cartel for whom the FBI had offered a $5 million reward, was arrested Wednesday night without incident. Carrillo Fuentes, 51, took over the Juarez Cartel when his brother, Amado Carrillo Fuentes, died in 1997. Fuentes oversaw a brutal turf war with the rival Sinaloa Cartel, that is believed to have killed more than 8,000 people from 2009 to 2011 in Ciudad Juarez--across the Mexican border from El Paso, Texas. The World Health Organization has warned that Ebola is now entrenched in the capital cities of all three worst-affected countries and is accelerating in almost all settings. WHO deputy head Bruce Aylward warned that the world's response was not keeping up with the disease in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The three countries have appealed for more aid to help fight the disease. The outbreak has killed more than 3,860 people, mainly in West Africa. More than 200 health workers are among the victims. Speaking on Thursday, Mr Aylward said the situation was worse than it was 12 days ago. He said, "The disease is entrenched in the capitals, 70% of the people affected are definitely dying from this disease, and it is accelerating in almost all of the settings." Authorities in Macedonia have sealed off a hotel where a British man has died from symptoms of the Ebola Virus. A Health Ministry official says the man had arrived from Britain on October the second. A few hours later, he rushed to hospital where he died later. Now a doctor of the ministry's commission for infectious diseases says the man had been suffering from fever, vomiting and internal bleeding, and his condition deteriorated fast. She also added that health officials have taken strict measures to make sure that no more people are infected with the deadly virus.
