Ferguson, Missouri has been engulfed in rioting and looting following the death of 18-year-old black teenager Michael Brown. James Foley , missing U.S. journalist, feared dead in ISIS beheading (CBC) Islamic State of Iraq and Syria insurgents released a video on Tuesday purportedly showing the beheading of U.S. journalist James Foley, who had gone missing in Syria nearly two years ago. The video, titled "A Message To America," was posted on social media sites. It was not immediately possible to verify. According to an FBI missing persons alert, Foley had employed a translator to help him travel across the Syrian-Turkish border in late 2012. The translator was also taken, but later released. Two medical experts, Michael Baden and Shawn Parcells, conducted a second autopsy on the body of Michael Brown, the Missouri teen shot by police, at the request of Brown’s family, the New York Times reported. According the preliminary private autopsy, Brown was shot at least six times, although only three bullets were recovered from his body. The autopsy revealed he was shot twice in the head and four times in his right arm. One bullet went through his right eye, travelled through his face, exited his jaw, and re-entered via his collarbone. The wound at the very top of Brown’s head indicated that Brown must have had his head bent downward, possibly because he was surrendering or charging toward the officer. Parcells said a bullet graze wound on the teen’s right arm could have also occurred in several ways. He could have been facing the shooter or giving him his back. A pair of New York City police officers used an illegal chokehold to bring a man down several days ago. Cell phone video obtained by the New York Daily News shows officer Daniel Pantaleo using a choke hold to bring down a man they suspect was selling untaxed cigarettes. Eric Garner, a 43-year-old asthmatic, died in a hospital an hour later of a heart attack. The father of six can be heard on the tape repeatedly saying that he couldn’t breathe while an officer pressed his face into the sidewalk. 8-year veteran of the NYPD, Daniel Pantaleo has since been stripped of his badge and gun. The second unnamed officer involved has been relegated to desk duty. The viral video of the event outraged people all across the country. Several preachers and civil rights leaders took turns crying out against the police department at Garner’s funeral.
