Hello Biometrics: Windows 10 to Add Facial Recognition and Iris Scanners

http://bit.ly/1zfNXza After several years of consumer complaints, Microsoft Windows 10 has been getting a lot of attention as of late for many upgrades slated for their new version of the popular operating system. However, it appears that one feature being added to supposedly consumer-friendly applications is a suite of biometrics called Windows Hello and Windows Passport. It’s all a part of the move toward a full-fledged Smart World where YOU become the password in a matrix of online and real-world activity. California/1 Year of Water Left!

The New Nasa Satellite Smap is sending in new info on the drought in California. http://1.usa.gov/1I6Ae1G http://bit.ly/1kccHAf Right now the state has only about one year of water supply left in its reservoirs, and our strategic backup supply, groundwater, is rapidly disappearing. California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain.
