NATO Can Put Troops Wherever It Wants, New Secretary-general Says

Reuters reports the new NATO secretary-general declared the Western alliance could deploy its forces wherever it wants. Jens Stoltenberg is apparently calling into question post-Cold War agreements that have been shaken by Russia's actions in Crimea and Ukraine. Stoltenberg visited NATO member Poland today, to reassure its leaders that NATO would provide protection against its former communist master, Russia following the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine. Russia is accused by the West of sending troops and equipment to back pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine. http://bit.ly/1n7Hepa http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ #News

U.S. Mulling Ebola Screening At Major Airports

Sources told NBC News, the Obama administration is strongly considering ramping up screening for Ebola at major airports in the United States. The sources said, the U.S. is weighing whether to deploy the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or other personnel to key hubs for flights that originate in West Africa, where there are thousands of cases of the virus. The enhanced measures would be a supplement to screenings done at the point of departure in countries with high Ebola infection rates. Passengers arriving in the U.S. could be questioned about whether they had contact with infected people in their country of origin, and their temperatures could be taken for any warning signs. http://nbcnews.to/Z6xRuz http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ #News

Authorities Search For Homeless Man In Dallas Ebola Case

The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Sunday the agency was being flooded with hundreds of calls every day about Ebola — while authorities in Texas are searching for a missing homeless man who was identified as a contact with the Dallas Ebola patient. At a news conference Sunday, CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden said they were receiving roughly 800 phone calls a day about Ebola — a sharp increase from about 50 a day. But Frieden said he had "no doubt" the U.S. would stop Ebola "in its tracks" in Texas, where the first U.S. Ebola patient, Thomas Eric Duncan, was being treated at a Dallas hospital. But he said Duncan "has taken a turn for the worse." He was in critical condition Saturday, the hospital said. http://nbcnews.to/1pYJ8mX http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ #News

We'll experience just eight tetrads this century and we won't experience the next tetrad until around 2032 or 2033. http://bit.ly/1pYJ8mM #News
