Bill Cosby's silence in the wake of renewed rape allegations will continue. Cosby's lawyer, John P. Schmitt, released a statement on Sunday, saying that the comedian will not publicly respond to the sexual assault allegations that have received renewed attention. In his statement, Schmitt said the allegations have already been disproven: Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr. Cosby have resurfaced. The statement comes after Cosby's appearance on NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday in which he refused to speak when asked about the allegations.
