ISIL's Next Goal: Take Over Saudi Arabia

http://bit.ly/1zfNXza IS has gone farther than other extremist groups, including al-Qaeda, in its ability to expand into territories and win and keep the support of its sympathizers. It has support throughout the Middle East and elsewhere, and doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down anytime soon – and that’s where Saudi Arabia comes in, according to the Jamestown Foundation. “In addition to confronting the incumbent regimes in Iraq and Syria and rival militants and insurgents, the Islamic State has an ambitious set of goals that include challenging Saudi Arabia,” the Foundation says. IS, it adds, is behaving in a more aggressive manner toward Saudi Arabia. In an audio statement released last fall, the group’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi talked of expanding into the “lands of al-Haramein” (two holy places), refusing even to call it by the name Saudi Arabia because IS considers the Saudi royal family unworthy of any recognition. Al-Baghdadi instead highlights Islam’s two holiest sites...

Make Sure to Subscribe to the New J.KNIGHT Channel: http://bit.ly/1EkkVQI A senior German official has called for the reconsideration of Germany’s arms exports to Saudi Arabia, describing the monarchy as the leading exporter of terrorism in the Middle East. Vice President of the German Parliament (Bundestag) Claudia Roth put forward the demand in an interview with German newspaper Welt am Sonntag printed on Sunday. Roth (shown below) called Riyadh “the top terror exporter in the Middle East,” adding that “a large portion” of extremist militants in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq hail from Saudi Arabia. http://bit.ly/1FE5e7Z

'ATF Elimination Act': GOP Lawmaker Proposes Legislation to Remove Agency

http://bit.ly/1zfNXza In response to the ATF’s determined march toward banning the M855 round for law-abiding citizens, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) has introduced legislation to eliminate the ATF altogether. Sensenbrenner’s bill is titled the ATF Elimination Act. According to The Hill, Sensenbrenner says the ATF as a “scandal-ridden” agency “that lacks a clear mission.” He describes it as a “largely duplicative agency” and suggests the agency’s role on “guns, explosives, and violent crime” could be carried out the FBI. He believes the agency’s work on alcohol and tobacco could be transferred to the DEA. He said the ATF’s attempt to ban the M855 round is “an affront to the Second Amendment and yet another reason” Congress should disband the agency. Sensenbrenner’s bill would give the ATF director “180 days… to submit a plan to Congress on how to wind down the agency.” http://bit.ly/1FE5e7G
