Newly released images created from NASA satellite data illustrate the staggering effect the California drought has had on groundwater supply in the state. The images show the amount of water lost over the past 12 years, with different colors indicating severity over time. Federal health experts issued another call Friday for doctors and hospitals to be on the lookout for a mysterious symptom that causes muscle weakness in some children who have had recent viral infections. Two reports issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention center on enterovirus-D68, which appears to be causing more infections than usual of late, and a potential link with a rare type of muscle weakness. President Barack Obama took credit for an improving jobs picture on Friday, but blamed businesses for stingy pay policies that are preventing workers from having enough money to get by. An Internet video released Friday purports to show an Islamic State group fighter beheading British hostage Alan Henning. The video mirrored other beheading videos shot by the Islamic State group, which now holds territory along the border of Syria and Iraq. The video ended with an Islamic State fighter threatening a man they identified as an American.
