Biden Could Be Senate Tiebreaker
We’ve been tracking this midterm election all year long, especially the important race for control of the Senate. It’s been a huge story, all year long. Every negative report knocking President Obama for failed foreign policy, immigration, or Obamacare means another chance for other parties to gain momentum against the Democrats. Obama’s declining popularity has been the main catalyst driving Democrats opposition. Republican supporters have been counting on this election as their chance to retake control of the Senate. If they can win at least 6 states, they will take the majority in both chambers of Congress. But, if they’re only able to capture 5 seats in the Senate, it will come down to a 50/50 split. It’s a rare occurrence, but it has happened a few times throughout history. It happened for just 17 days back in 2000, and the last time before that, it was 1953.
