Crazy Tech! This Futuristic Armored Assault Wagon Is Russia's Answer to the Humvee!

http://bit.ly/1zfNXza Although it looks like a low-end sci-fi movie prop, this could be Russia's version of the armored Humvee of the future. With drastically angled armor plating and a huge grill, Zil claims that this yet-to-be-named armored car has been commissioned by the Russian Army and will likely enter production soon. Yes, it looks like an agricultural tool from 2059, but that's exactly the kind of stuff Zil makes. http://bit.ly/12DOK2l

Washington Man Arrested for 'Threatening to Kill Darren Wilson' On Facebook

http://bit.ly/1zfNXza Police in Washington State have arrested a man who posted on his public Facebook page about wanting to kill Darren Wilson, the former Ferguson, Missouri cop who fatally shot unarmed teenager Michael Brown. Jaleel Tariq Abdul-Jabbaar, 46, was arrested outside of Seattle, WA on Tuesday and brought to a federal court house where he was officially charged with three counts of making interstate threats. If convicted, Abdul-Jabbaar could face five years in prison. According to a criminal complaint filed by the US Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington this week, Abdul-Jabbaar frequently posted on his social media profile about killing Wilson and other cops both before and after a grand jury decided last month not to charge the former Ferguson Police Department officer with killing Brown, 18, this past August; last week, Wilson resigned from the force. http://bit.ly/12DOIHC

CDC Issues Flu Vaccine Apology

For the first time we can remember, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are going on the record, saying the flu vaccine won’t work this year. The warning comes just before the busiest part of flu season, in January and February. Unfortunately, there won’t be any refund for any of the patients or insurance companies who spent money on flu shots earlier this fall. But don’t worry. Just when you thought perhaps the CDC could boost their credibility, they found a way to put a sales pitch on the end of their warning. The CDC says if you do come down with the flu, there’s a cure. It’s just going to cost more money. Money that will end up profiting pharmaceutical giants, GlaxoSmithKline and Roche. CDC officials are urging doctors to prescribe two specific antiviral medications for any patients who come in with flu symptoms. Just last week, the CDC issued a warning, prompting Americans to take the flu vaccine if they haven’t already. Health officials said they had 160 million flu s...

Michael Brown Stepdad Issues Apology

Meanwhile, cooler heads are starting to prevail in the Ferguson area. That includes Michael Brown’s own stepfather. The night of the grand jury announcement, Louis Head appeared on video inciting violent protests, even urging other protesters to start fires and burn the BLANK down. That was obviously an emotional night for Brown’s stepfather. Now, he’s apologizing. He says his emotions got the best of him in the heat of the moment. In Head’s statement, he said, “It was wrong and I humbly apologize to all of those who read my pain and anger as a true desire for what I want for our community.” In the same statement, he said the Ferguson police department is wrong to blame him for the “conditions” of the community. Right now, local authorities are considering pressing charges against Head for inciting a riot. http://bit.ly/1zXztn3 http://usat.ly/12DOHDx Support Indymedia!
